It’s officially Coachella season. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual music festival that takes place during two April weekends in Indio’s Empire Polo Club. The first weekend starts next week from April 12 to 14 and the second weekend is April 19 to 21. It’s a big deal in the music world. It has brought so many iconic moments like Bad Bunny making history as the first Spanish-language artist to ever headline the festival last year, Harry Styles and Shania Twain singing “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” in 2022, and let’s not forget Beychella in 2018. The headliners this year are No Doubt, Lana Del Rey, Tyler the Creator, and Doja Cat with additional sets from J Balvin, Peso Pluma, Ice Spice, Jhené Aiko, and more.

Aside from the music, Coachella is all about the food, too. Its food program features food spots, including vegan and gluten-free options, from across the nation offering “a wide variety of cuisine that pleases any festival-goer,” according to the Coachella website. Here’s what to expect at Coachella this year.

First, drinks.

Drinks of all forms will be available at the music festival. Some drinks include:

Absolut, the official vodka of Coachella, will be featuring tons of mixed cocktails with special surprises at the ultimate mixing grounds.

Beer Barn will be returning to Coachella with a vast variety of local and regional craft beers on tap.

The Block Party will be at the Outdoor Theater bar featuring a modern cocktail bar with a spacious back patio and DJs. Some of the drinks include a Watermelon Mezcalita and Margaritas.

Electrolit is the drink that will keep you hydrated in the desert as it hydrates faster, so you can “party sunrise to sunset” per the website.

Everbloom Coffee, International Delight, #Juicebae, and more drinks will be at the festival, see the full list here. 

Now, to the food.

There will be over 50 featured restaurants at Coachella to satisfy just about any craving — pizza, sushi, chicken, ramen, ice cream, you name it, they have it. Some restaurants are solely for VIP access (12 Peaks VIP) including Bang Bang Noodles and Sweetfin, a Coachella staple, serving California-inspired poke bowls and burritos.

However, you can find food spots in other sections of the music festival like the Coachella Courtyard, Beer Barn, Camping, Indio Central Market, Outdoor Theater, and more. See the full list here, but some restaurant highlights are:

Prince Street Pizza, a New York City pizzeria, offers a variety of New York and Sicilian Style slices. Available at 12 Peaks VIP, Indio Central Market, and Beer Barn.

Word of Mouth Truck is all about veganism, serving nostalgic plant-based comfort eats. Available at camping grounds.

Dog Haus has over 60 locations nationwide and is known for its Angus beef, hot dogs, and fried chicken. Available at Terrace South.

La Michoacana on Wheels serves a range of classic Mexican snacks with a contemporary twist. Available at Coachella Courtyard.

Postmates is also debuting its Sauce Bar, where festival-goers can load their fries with sauces from must-try LA restaurants and even relax with a signature saucetail.
